132. What are You Believing in God For?
Faith. What is it? The concept of faith is sometimes hard to grasp, but living it out makes it real. What are you trying to bring into reality? Faith, the bible says, is the substance of what you are hoping for without evidence to show it. Are you dreaming of owning a big house?
James Goll wrote in "Faith Matters," December 2019 "True faith is the present tense as distinguished from hope, which is future-oriented." What this means is that faith gives you the ability to lean on the Father for your needs today, with full expectations He will turn things the right way, in His time. Why does it matter? Faith in God gives you the ability to trust in Him and His word through the Bible, in the present. Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
How do you live out your faith? James 1:22 states "But be doers of the world, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." As you live out your faith, Matthew 5:16 "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds [your trust in Him] and praise your Father in heaven." Choose to lean faithfully on Him by trusting His promise. He cannot lie. Don't lose heart! Trust in His word, in His promises to you. Nothing in this life is more certain than His word!
He loves you and will fulfill His words just to you - each and every time.
