125. What are Boundaries?
There were questions of who God is for you in the last blog. It was about finding where you belong and where God is anointing you to go to. It is healthy and vital for you to proceed within your calling using practical wisdom and modeling responsibilities with insight - and owning what's yours. This means to take Godly gifts of this simple concept. That's where boundaries come in.
Boundaries allow you to have a healthy lifestyle. They mark what you are responsible for and the reality you are able to respond. Boundaries define when you say either 'yes' or 'no' and how you can take and model Godly control in situations. Boundaries show who you are and who you are not.
There are different boundaries that affect every aspect of your life. Drs Cloud and Townsend, in their book Boundaries, define the impact of them as:
Physical boundaries means your own physical space. You choose who may touch you, under what circumstances - who, what, when, where and how.
Mental boundaries give you a choice to your own opinions, freedom and your thoughts.
Emotional boundaries allow you to deal with your own feelings and choose to pull away from the ones that were intended to harm or damage you.
Spiritual boundaries help you to see what God's will is in your life, understand and differentiate His will from your own and give you desire to understand the Creator.
More of boundaries are coming in the next few blogs. Blessings, warrior!
