42. Don't quit! The Fight Gets the Hardest Before You Reach the Goal God Designed for You!

Ella was a lady who requested for help (names are fictional, story is true). She bitterly complained of her finances, her living situation and her loneliness. She was listened to, validated, encouraged, guided; encouraged, guided and validated. Nothing changed. Her complaints remained, increasing in intensity with any listener. She chose to ignore His loving guidance. She demanded a compassionate, listening ear and truly had no intention or motivation to change. She lost the fight in her and chose to fill herself with self-pity and resentment. Ella became louder, more embittered, resentful and even more lonely.

Anna also needed a listening ear. Her fight was the fight for her sanity after severe child abuse. The enemy in her derived fear and reactions from massive, repeated past sexual traumas and tortures. The scars she held onto were suffocating her and destroying her identity. She also was listened to, validated, guided and encouraged. She chose to hold onto what the Lord designed just for her! Through many trials and tribulations she chose to become an over-comer, a bride of the Lord. She chose to win the fight. Anna, a female warrior, now models her spirit of resilience to others in need.

The connection between the two of them is the choice you and I - all of us need to make. Do you choose to fight or is your choice to give up?

You are God's assault force! You have an enemy who will do his absolute best to destroy, minimize and demean you. This time is a crucially important time to go all out, and have no-holds, full assault on the evil one. Satan will bring you every offensive in his power to bring you down. If you are going to make it through to victory, you are going to need to put yourself in training. Training for what? It is to choose to recognize the assaults against you, and train to conquer and overcome them. Matthew 17:20 states "...if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain 'move from here to there' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." It is crucial to see clearly who the enemy is!

This choice to fight and to proceed onward to victory is not easy. There is assurance through Romans 8:1 "There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Anna's choice given earlier was to go forward, in a responsible fashion and according to the Spirit. What will be your choice? John 16:33 states "...in this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Through Him you are strong and can conquer!
